Matt Kaczkowski's love of movies can be traced back to his early childhood, where he spent countless hours immersed in classic films. This passion for cinema only grew and he began making his own home movies and television shows. Matt graduated from Winona State University with a BA in Mass Communications Broadcasting. Matt’s passion for film and video became the driving force behind SilverWater Productions. As the co-owners and creative force behind SilverWater Productions Matt and his business, JJ Burkart opened SilverWater Productions in 2004 in a small supply room where they shared one computer and one camera. Throughout the last 20 years SilverWater Productions has gained recognition for their high-quality promotiuonal videos that tell authentic, compelling stories showcasing their clients’ natural strengths using their unique skills. In his spare time Matt participates in film festivals with local filmmakers.
Erin Kaczkowski is a local artist, who creates in a wide variety of art mediums, but specializes in Printmaking. Erin holds a degree in Photography from MCTC Minneapolis and a BFA in Printmaking from UWM. Her ever evolving artistic voice celebrates the absurdity of life, reminding us to not take life too seriously. There are themes of grief, joy and humor that viewers connect to their own experiences. This work explores changing identity, duality of emotions, and regrowth from change/tragedy. Erin has begun teaching printmaking workshops in Sheboygan and Milwaukee and has been a vendor in many art fairs to include JMKAC Midsummer Festival of the Arts and Hovercraft Milwaukee. Erin brings her unique style to Rebel Reels Film Society by creating work and selling prints inspired by each film presented.
